Benenden Members Scheme Referrals

If you would like a referral to be sent using your Benenden Membership Scheme, the healthcare professional will start the referral process.

Once you have left the surgery, it is the member’s responsibility to make contact with York; notifying them of their intention to be seen at Benenden Hospital using their membership.

Once contact has been made and the patient receives authorisation, you will need to contact the GP surgery to inform staff that the medical secretary can now send the referral to Benenden Healthcare, York.

Please note that if contact has not been made and a referral has been sent; York will discard the referral.
