Important Information

Since Tuesday, 1 April 2025 The Mote Medical Practice has been responsible for your care and treatment in Staplehurst Health Centre. This change has enabled you to continue to receive GP services in the same location.

There is no change to the opening hours or telephone number. Patients will be able to continue to access GP services in the Health Centre as usual.  

Part of this change means that updates will be needed to our computer systems at both sites. This means that staff will not be able to access their computers between 9 May 2025 and 13 May 2025. This means that we will be a limited with what services are available during that time. 

You do not need to do anything for the change to take place but please be patient with practice staff during that time.

We have scheduled this to take place mostly over a weekend to minimise disruption, however, some services may be unavailable for a short period of time. 

Currently our teams are running two separate clinical computer systems alongside each other, which means we are unable to see patient’s records across both sites. Once the systems are merged, there will be just one clinical system across the merged practices for all patients. 

During the periods listed below, telephone lines will remain open but please be mindful that we will have limited or no access to patient records. We will be able to see patients who may have an urgent need for a same-day appointment.  

Please make sure any medicines that may be due at this time are requested in advance, as we will not be able to issue prescriptions during the system downtime between Friday, 9 May to Tuesday, 13 May.

The systems merger will cause some temporary disruption to online services. These are as follows:
